Business Administration

The Business Administration program at Drake State was developed to prepare students for careers in accounting, business, and management. Overall, a business administration degree prepares students for employment by providing learning experiences, in database management, spreadsheet management, word processing, skills in written and oral communications, and internet usage along with critical thinking and problem solving experiences.

The program awards certificates and Associate of Applied Science degrees in Business Administration with options in general business, accounting, and management.

According to Lightcast Economic Modeling, the median salary for a business administration career is $39,563.

Accounting

The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration accounting track and certificate are designed to teach, through a sequence of experiences, the skills necessary for a student to develop cognitive knowledge of the accounting process and to be able to practically apply this knowledge.

General Business

The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration general business track and certificate are designed to prepare students for a variety of careers within business.

Management

The Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration management track and certificate prepare students to hold supervisory and management positions.
