Drake State Joins Forces with Leidos to Support Key I.T. & NASA Initiatives

Drake State Community and Technical College is proud to announce its recent collaboration with Leidos, a prominent global leader in the integration and application of information technology, engineering, and science. Drake State has responded to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from Leidos to become a subcontractor, supporting critical IT solutions and NASA end-user services.

Under the Advanced Enterprise Global IT Solutions (AEGIS) initiative, Drake State will provide Computer Systems Analysts for the Enterprise Network Operating Center (ENOC) at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This partnership emphasizes Drake State’s commitment to delivering top-tier technical expertise and innovative solutions in the IT sector.

“Partnering with Leidos is a significant milestone for Drake State,” said Dr. Patricia Sims, President of Drake State. “This collaboration not only provides our students and graduates with invaluable opportunities to work on high-impact projects but also reinforces our mission to support the advancement of technology and innovation in our community. We are excited about the potential impact this partnership will have on our students’ careers and the local economy.”

Leidos CEO Thomas Bell visited the Drake State campus on June 26 to learn more about the college and enhance the partnership by finding ways to create talent pipelines.

Drake State continues to be a vital contributor to the local economy and a leader in technical education, preparing students to meet the demands of the ever-evolving job market. This partnership with Leidos underscores the college’s dedication to fostering industry collaborations that benefit both students and the broader community.
