Headphone and Personal Audio Equipment Use Policy

 

HEADPHONE USE
 

All library users must use headphones if they need sound to complete class assignments. Headphones are not provided by the library. It is the responsibility of library users to bring their own headphones. Library users may not substitute speakers for headphones. Sound must be at a volume that does not disturb other library users or staff.

COMPUTER AUDIO SETTINGS
 

Users may not modify the audio settings on the computers. Computer audio controls must be adjusted by the library staff. Audio controls will be adjusted for academic needs only. They will not be adjusted for entertainment purposes.

PERSONAL AUDIO EQUIPMENT
 

Library users must use headphones with any personal audio equipment they bring into the library. This equipment includes but is not limited to radios, CD players, MP3 players, and computers. They must keep the device at a volume that does not disturb other library users or staff.
